Quality at GPI Forankra

Quality is a fundamental requirement in the aerospace industry, and it underpins everything we do.

GPI Forankra designs and manufactures ETSO-certified aircraft cargo securing systems under processes controlled and approved by EASA, ensuring full compliance with applicable aviation standards such as ETSO C90 and ETSO C172.

Our EASA Part 21G, also known as Production Organisation Approval (POA), enables us to deliver our products with EASA Form 1 certification, guaranteeing airworthiness and full traceability.

Our organization is structured to ensure product conformity, process control, and consistent performance across all stages of production. It is also regularly audited by our main OEM customers under their EN 9100 quality systems.

From raw materials to final delivery, quality is embedded in our daily operations through documented procedures, qualified processes, and continuous improvement.

Our certifications reflect this commitment and provide our customers with confidence that our products meet the highest aerospace industry standards.

EASA Part 21G certification

Part 21G is a stringent regulatory framework that governs the production of aircraft components and the capacity to issue EASA Form 1 certificates.

ISO 9001:2015 certification

ISO 9001 is an international quality management system standard, ensuring consistent processes, product conformity, and continuous improvement across all operations.

EcoVadis rating certification

EcoVadis independently evaluates environmental, ethical, and supply chain practices, providing a recognized benchmark of corporate social responsibility performance.

Ethical Governance – Responsible governance and procurement

Sustainability begins with strong ethical foundations.

As part of the Axel Johnson International group, GPI Forankra follows a strict Code of Ethics that ensures integrity, transparency, and accountability across all operations.

Our code emphasizes:

  • Respect for human rights and fair labor practices
  • Ethical decision-making and responsible conduct
  • Collaboration with suppliers to ensure alignment with sustainability principles

This code is not just theory, since 2019, all the group’s major international suppliers are audited by our local team, to ensure compliance and support improvements.

Sustainable Production – Certified expertise and reduced impact

GPI Forankra is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest industry standards.

A cornerstone of our approach is the recycling of polyester webbing waste. By transforming these materials into reusable resources, we minimize waste and support a circular economy.

In addition, our production facility benefits from low-carbon French electricity, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions compared to many other manufacturing regions.

Our overall sustainability performance has also been assessed through our EcoVadis evaluation, demonstrating continuous improvement in environmental and social responsibility.

Sustainable Product Offerings – Lower-impact solutions

Sustainability also drives the design of our products.

GPI Forankra develops cargo securing solutions that are safe, durable, competitive, and environmentally responsible, including high-performance aeronautical equipment.

Beyond reducing packaging and optimizing logistics, our main focus is on weight reduction.
Our lightweight polyester nets are among the lightest PES nets on the market, reducing raw material consumption and significantly lowering CO₂ emissions throughout their lifecycle (see our fuel savings calculator below).
